This Privacy Policy describes how Independence HomeLand, LLC (referred to herein as “IHL”, “us,” “we,” “our,”) collect and process your personal information through the IHL website (“Site”) and services where this Privacy Policy is posted or is referenced (collectively, “Services”), and offline where this Privacy Policy is referenced. 

 

By accessing or using the Services, you confirm that you have read, understand and acknowledge the terms of this Privacy Policy, and agree to our Terms of Use. 

 
1. How we collect and use your personal information 
We (and the vendors we hire to perform services on our behalf) collect, receive, and develop several categories of personal information about you depending on the nature of your interactions with us. For example: 

 

We collect Contact and Identifier Information. For example, we might collect your name, email address, social media account handles, phone number, and address. 

 

We collect Commercial and Preference Information. We collect information about your purchase history and transactions and your preferences when using our Services as well as records of personal property. We collect Location Information.  We also collect information about your general location, using your zip code or postcode and IP address. 

 

We collect Financial Information. We or our vendors on our behalf collect your credit card and other payment card details or your bank account information if you need to make a payment. We may also collect information about your sources of income as well as other publicly available financial information such as the existence and nature of recorded securities interests, property records, liens or tax records.  

 

We collect Audio Information. We may record audio during customer service calls. 

 

We collect Information You Submit. We collect any information you provide when you contact us (such as by email, phone, mail, or online) or when you submit responses to inquiries. 

 

We collect and develop Inferences. Using the personal information collected about you, we may draw inferences about you, reflecting what we believe to be your preferences, characteristics, predispositions, and attitudes. 

 

2. How we use your personal information We use information to provide you with the Services, to communicate with you, and to respond to your requests or questions.  We use your information to contact you about your feedback and to respond to your questions or other inquiries.

We use text messaging for marketing purposes.  Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties, provided that the foregoing does not apply to sharing with vendors, consultants and other service providers who need access to such information to carry out work on our behalf (and who will not use such information for their own purposes). 

 

3. How we and collect your personal information. 

We collect personal information directly from you. For example, we collect information if you sign up for our emails, if you participate in a promotion or contact us. We collect information from you if you make a purchase or payment. We also collect any information you provide if you post a comment, make a request, or respond to an inquiry. 

 

We collect personal information from your devices. We use tracking tools like browser cookies, pixels and web beacons to collect information from or about you. We collect this information using tracking tools when you interact with our Site, our ads, and our emails that we or our vendors send to you. We collect information about users over time and across devices when you use our Site. We may have other parties collect personal information this way. We get personal information from vendors we hire to work on our behalf. For example, vendors that host or maintain our website and send promotional emails for us may give us information. Our due diligence vendors may also give us information. Our marketing agencies, advertising technology vendors, and analytics providers may also provide us with information.

These other parties might also include business and marketing partners, and social media platforms that give us information they have collected either directly or indirectly from you. We may share personal information within our family of companies. This includes our parent, subsidiaries and affiliates.

5. You have certain choices about how we use your personal information. 

You can opt out of receiving our marketing emails. To stop receiving our promotional emails, you can follow the instructions in any promotional message you get from us.  Even if you opt out of getting marketing messages, we will still send you transactional messages. These include responses to your questions. 

 

You can control certain cookies and tracking tools.  Keep in mind that the cookies used on our various websites will differ and you will need to set your preferences on each of our sites you visit. Your browser may give you the ability to control certain cookies and other tracking tools. How you do so depends on the type of tool. Certain browsers can be set to reject browser cookies. If you block cookies, certain features on our Site may not work. If you block or reject cookies, not all of the tracking described here will stop.

We and third party advertising networks, social media companies, and other services may collect information about your use of our Site and the Services over time so that they or we may display interest-based advertising using information gathered about you over time across multiple website or other platforms. To do this, we and our vendors use several tracking tools, such as browser cookies, web beacons, and other technologies. Choices you make regarding cookies are website, device, and browser specific, and are deleted whenever you clear your cookies or browser’s cache. 

 

Our “Do Not Track” Policy. Some browsers have “do not track” features that allow you to tell a website not to track you. These features are not all uniform. We do not currently respond to those signals. 

 

6. Our Site and Services are not intended for children. 

Our Site and Services are meant for adults who can form a binding contract. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 18. If you are a parent or legal guardian and think your child has given us information, you can contact us using the details found in the Contact Us section below. 

 

7. Our website is intended for United States residents. 

Our website is hosted in the United States and is intended for United States visitors. If you are visiting from outside the United States, note that United States laws may not provide the same level of protections as those in your own country. If you access our Site from outside of the United States, you understand, consent, and agree that we may transfer your personal information to the United States. We may also process, share, transfer and store personal information on servers located in countries other than the United States.

The Internet is not 100% secure. We cannot promise that your use of our Site or Services will be completely safe. Any transmission of your data to our Site is at your own risk. We keep personal information as long as it is reasonably necessary or relevant to achieve the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, or any other notice provided at the time of collection unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by applicable law, taking into account applicable statutes of limitation and our records retention requirements and policies. For example, we may retain your information for legal compliance, dispute resolution, contract enforcement, backup, archival, and other internal operations purposes. We also keep information as otherwise required by law. 

 

9. We may link to third party sites or services we don’t control. 

If you click on a link to a third party site, you will be taken to a website we do not control. This Privacy Policy does not apply to the privacy practices of that website, which may collect information from you. Read the privacy policy of other websites carefully. We are not responsible for these third party websites or their policies.
